When Effektus Construction was launched, it had only one goal - to become the best construction company in Mpumalanga. We don’t want to be the biggest, but we believe we can be the best by adding value to everything we do.

During 2003, Effektus Construction was voted the Home Builder of the Year by the National Home Builders' Registration Council (NHBRC) - the biggest honour any construction company can receive in the country. After Effektus Construction received the honour of Mpumalanga Builder of the Year, it was subjected to two inspections by the NHBRC after which Effektus was informed that the company had been nominated for the national award.

Effektus Construction was judged on about 40 homes built in Berg 'n Bos and Tussen Berge developments in Nelspruit. At the gala function held at Gallagher Estate in Midrand, Effektus Construction was named the national Winner in the category of R10 million+ per annual turnover.
